Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the adhering strength between Fe system alloy and base layer by employing Fe or Fe group sintered material in the base layer of cutter segment.
CONSTITUTION: The base layer 6 in cutter segment 4 is composed of Fe or Fe group alloy powder sintered material while the abrasive grain layer 5 is composed of bond powder sintered material 8 having non-ferrous metal for fixing super abrasive grains 7 such as diamonds or CBN as main component. The cutter segment 4 is firmly adhered to Fe system alloy 1 of same composition with the base layer 6 through the base layer 6.
