In the cutter with the outer surface pattern of the handle, the handle consists of metal and the pattern consists of a plurality of planes ranged on the outer surface of the handle and the surface pattern consists of polished reflection planes. The cutter is for shaving or beauty treatment and the pattern can be a hammered pattern. The pattern is made by a surface pattern of the female mold being copied onto the outer surface of the handle by pressing a blank. A female mold used in the embossing process can be made by a method wherein a electrode having an outer surface identical to that of the handle to be manufactured is formed and a mold body material is machined by electric discharge using the electrode.
