Abstract:
To provide a cutting device which can suppress corrosion of a cutting blade.SOLUTION: A cutting device for cutting a work-piece comprises: a chuck table which holds the work-piece; and a cutting unit which includes an annular base, and a cutting edge which contains abrasive grains and a binder for fixing the abrasive grains and is firmed along an outer peripheral edge of the base, and to which a cutting blade is mounted. The cutting unit comprises a spindle, a blade mount attached to a tip of the spindle, and a fixation nut which fixes the cutting blade to the blade mount. The blade mount or the fixation nut is provided with a corrosion layer which comprises a material having an ionization tendency higher than that of a material constituting the binder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
