Abstract:
To provide a cutting device which can easily remove foreign matters such as scraps and so on adhered to a detection unit.SOLUTION: A cutting device for cutting a work-piece comprises: a cutting unit comprising a spindle, and a blade mount attached to a tip of the spindle, and cuts a work-piece by a cutting blade attached to the blade mount; and a cutting liquid supply unit which supplies a cutting liquid to the cutting blade; and a detection unit which detects a tip of the cutting blade. The detection unit includes: a light projection part; a light reception part which receives light from the light projection part; and a blade insertion part which is provided between the light projection part and the light reception part, and in which the cutting blade is inserted. The blade mount comprises a truncated-conical base part of which one end side is fixed to the tip of the spindle. The base part has a guide part which is provided on an outer peripheral surface side of the base part along a circumferential direction of the base part, and guides the cutting liquid, which has been supplied from the cutting liquid supply unit to the rotating cutting blade, to the light projection part or the light reception part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
