Abstract:
The device (20) has blades (29-32) to be attached to an upper knife carrier (25) and for front edge trimming and top- and bottom trimming of products (40', 40''). A self-contained, independent drive (21) drives the carrier. A conveyor system (34) includes top-related and bottom-related pairs of conveyor belts for conveying the products through cutting stations (26-28). A set of self-contained, mutually independent position-controlled drives (22, 23) drive the respective pairs of conveyor belts. Control units (47-49) and a central machine control unit (51) interconnect the drives.
