PURPOSE: To built a wide width ditch with a small output drive means by excavating the foundation with an endless wire saw mounting a plurality of beads having different diameters at predetermined intervals in the direction of the wire.
CONSTITUTION: First. two precedent holes 2 are excavated in both end positions of a facing to be built in the foundation G while bentonite muddy water is injected into the holes. An guide H-type steel beam 18 is erected in the hole and further a ditch excavating device 10 is installed therein. Next, the ditch excavating device 10 is driven to excavate the foundation G and build a thin ditch 3. After the completion of the building, a pulley box 17 is left lifted. Next, a portion of the bentonite muddy water is drained from the bottom and self-setting liquid is injected from the upper part of the precedent hole 2. Again the drive means 12 is started and lowered while rotating a wire saw 11 and lifted when it reaches the bottom so that the bentonite muddy water and self- setting liquid are mixed and stirred so that self-setting substances spread over the whole thin ditch 3. Finally, the guide H-type steel beam 18 is removed and the self-setting substances are set to build the facing.
