Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a cutting insert which can be stably held on a holder.SOLUTION: A cutting insert according one embodiment includes a body part which extends from a rear side end side to a tip side in an axial direction, and a cutting part positioned on the tip side of the body part. The cutting part has a cutting blade provided on a ridge line at which a top face and a front side surface cross each other, and the body part has a groove part, which extends along the axial direction and opens on the tip side and upwards, and a pair of upper end surfaces which are so extend along the axial direction with the groove part interposed therebetween. The upper end surface is positioned above the cutting blade, and a groove bottom of the groove part is positioned below the cutting blade.
