Abstract:

To provide a dextrin clathrate compound improving water solubility of fat-soluble cryptoxanthin, and improving absorption in living bodies, and further stability.

The cyclic dextrin clathrate compound is characterized by compounding cyclic dextrin (cyclodextrin, a highly branched cyclic dextrin etc.) with cryptoxanthin and/or a derivative thereof. In the cyclic dextrin clathrate compound, the cryptoxanthin and/or the derivative thereof are preferably derived from Citrus unshiu Marc.
