PURPOSE: To provide a new cyclohexylamine derivative having 2,2,6,6- tetramethylpiperidine skeleton and useful as a light-stabilizer or its intermediate for various organic materials or intermediate for pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The cyclohexylamine derivative of formula I [R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl, 2-7C acyl or 7-10C arylalkyl; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl; R3 and R4 are H at the same time or one is H and the other is CH2-R5 or together form =CH-R5 (R5 is alkyl-substituted phenyl, 2-furyl, cyclohexyl or 2-tetrahydrofuryl); X is 1-3C alkylene; n is 1 or 2], e.g. N,N-bis-[2-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4- piperidinyloxycarbonyl)ethyl]cyclohexylamine. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III and reacting the resultant compound of formula IV with a compound of formula V.
