Abstract:
To prevent an alkaline electrolyte from leaking out of the cracked part of a metallic case, regarding a cylindrical alkaline battery.
This alkaline battery has a positive electrode mix pressed to a metallic case for improving the adhesion thereof. In this case, the carbon content of the base steel material of the metallic case is set in the range of 0.03%-0.05%, and a metallic case crack at a pressing process and a metallic case crack due to rolling force at fabrication from a base steel plate through a rolling process is lessened, thereby providing a battery involving less liquid leakage.
