To provide a disaster status recognizing system recognizing a position of a mobile information terminal that allows transmission of information to disaster prevention personnel such as disaster prevention centers and commands from disaster prevention personnel to members of a self-defense fire brigade to be made easily and promptly.SOLUTION: A disaster status recognizing system includes a fire receiver 60, a display 61, and a position information server 40 that allows for identifying a position of a mobile information terminal 20 and transmitting position information of the mobile terminal indicating the position. The display includes: disaster status display means for displaying a disaster mark at the position of a disaster on a map based on a received detection signal; mobile terminal position display means for displaying a predetermined mark at a position of the mobile terminal on the map based on the mobile terminal position information acquired from the position information server; and code display means for displaying a contact code including contact information of the mobile information terminal corresponding to the predetermined mark on a display screen of the display when the predetermined mark displayed on the display screen of the display is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
