A damper unit 6 brakes a speed of movement of a moving body, by using a piston damper provided with a cylinder 50 and a piston rod 53 connected to a piston in the cylinder. The damper unit 6 comprises a case 1, in which the piston damper 5 is arranged; a transmitting member 2 slidably mounted in the case 1 and transmitting external force caused by movement of the moving body; a link member 3, having one end mounted to the case to function as a center of rotation, and the other end which is pivotally supported by the transmitting member; and a connecting member 4 connected between both ends of the link member 3 and made to be in contact with or connected to either the piston rod 53 or the cylinder 50.
