Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve diffusion efficiency and to make processing high speed by dividing input data into blocks of the same data length, taking in and resoluting data from the other block, and outputting a new diffusion data.
CONSTITUTION: When diffusion output data of 32 bits is obtained from an input data of 32 bits, first of all, an input data block R of 32 bits is divided into process blocks R0-R3 of 1 byte. And each data is inputted to it, operation with the other data directly or indirectly performed at least one time, and a new data having same length as that of the input data is generated. After this process procedure, process blocks R0-R3 are supplied and they become output blocks, but each output blocks all are generated under influence of input blocks. Mutual interference between these process blocks is realized with form of input to an exclusive logic circuit XOR and a character resolution and substitution function operation section S. Therefore diffusion efficiency of data can be improved without using an inverted function.
