Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for recognizing the propriety of data capable of accurately discriminating whether the data is not altered nor forged by proper, and a recording body and a recognition device to be used in the method.

CONSTITUTION: Data obtained by combining data in a hologram data recording part 20 on a credit card 10 and data in a magnetic data recording part 16 and weighting it is recorded in a weighted data recording part 18. Laser beam is applied to the hologram data recording part 20 to reproduce a picture on a screen. Magnetic data in the magnetic data recording part 16 and picture data reproduced on the screen are combined to give the same processing as data in the weighed data recording part 18 by a controller 116. A comparator 118 compares data obtained by the controller 116 and data in the weighted data recording part 18.
