To provide a treatment method suited to the decomposition of double glazing.
A laser torch 20 is disposed on a double glazing 10, and is moved along an edge of a first glass 11 as shown by arrow (2). That is, the laser beam 19 is advanced as shown by the arrow (2) while reciprocating as shown by arrow (1). The heat of the laser beam 19 is applied to an interface of the first glass 11 and a sealant 14 to transform part of the sealant 14. The transformation is considered to vanish adhesiveness or to extremely weaken it. The present invention allows easy separation of a spacer from the glass. Since crushing is unnecessary, there is no possibility of scattering of a drying agent in the spacer, and glass can be transported in a form of a plate glass. Thus, the separation work is easy, causing no contamination of a treatment site, and the glass and spacer after separation can be sent to respective decomposition treatings.
