Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a degaussing coil mounting device which has improved the adhesion of a degauss coil to a cathode-ray tube and prevents generation of coil squeaks.
CONSTITUTION: At the back surface of a bezel cabinet 1, a boss 4 for mounting a cathode-ray tube 2 and the first ribs 12, 12' and second ribs 13, 13' to support a degaussing coil 3 are formed in a single piece structure. A tab 7 and a holder seat 14 are formed on a reinforcing metal piece 6 of the cathode-ray tube 2, and a holder 17 to press the degaussing coil 3 in approx. M-form is fitted in the seat 14. Thus the degauss coil is held by the holder and ribs in such a condition that the restoring force is maintained at all times, so that generation of coil squeaks can be precluded by suppressing the vibration generated when a demagnetizing current is impressed on the degaussing coil.
