Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a liposome preparation capable of being stored for a long period without leaking an inner encapsulated ingredient from the liposome and capable of being rehydrated on its use.
CONSTITUTION: The characteristics of this method for dehydrating a liposome comprise a process for preparing the liposome preparation comprising a liposome having lipid multi-layers, and a process for removing water from the preparation to a final point without preliminarily freezing the preparation. In the final point, a sufficient amount of water is left in the preparation so that the safety of the actual portion of the lipid multi-layers are maintained on a rehydration treatment. The liposome preparation is prepared by this method.
