To provide a desk capable of raising support strength in an upper horizontal rod having an attachment part for attaching an option member, and performing arrangement with excellent outer appearance.
The desk has a top plate which is disposed at a position lower than the upper end part of a rear surface board 3 in a space enclosed by a pair of right and left side surface boards 2 and the rear surface board 3. The upper horizontal rod 5 having the attachment part 16 for attaching the option member on at least the front surface is arranged at the upper end part of the rear surface board 3 in the right and left direction. A groove line 28 to be fitted to a projection line 27 projecting at the upper end part of the rear surface part 3 is formed on the lower surface of the upper horizontal rod 5. A reception hole 29, to which projection pieces 22 projecting at the upper part of the inner side surface of each side surface board 2 so as to be mutually opposed are inserted, is formed on the right and left side end surfaces of the upper horizontal rod 5. The projection pieces 22 inserted into the reception hole 29 and the upper horizontal rod 5 are fixed by fixing members 31 which are put through from the front surface or rear surface side of the upper horizontal rod 5.
