Abstract:

To provide a device for calculating intake air amount for accurately acquiring the intake air amount at starting in an internal combustion engine provided with an air flow meter.

The change of the standard intake air amount ega0 generated when starting the internal combustion engine with time under a standard atmospheric pressure EPA and under a standard throttle opening TA0 is stored as an intake property at starting. The real engine rotating speed Ne or the elapsed time t after starting is detected (step 106) until the state that the air flow meter can accurately detect the intake air amount ega is formed (step 104). The present standard intake air amount ega0 is calculated based on the detected value according to the intake property at starting (step 110). The amount ega0 is corrected by a atmospheric pressure correction coefficient kpa, and the real intake air amount ega is calculated (step 112).
