Title:
DEVICE FOR DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF POWER TRANSMISSION MEANS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3910052
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting abnormality of a power transmission means which can detect abnormality occurred in the power transmission means quickly and accurately.
SOLUTION: Pulse width counters 12 and 14 count clock pulses from a clock pulse generator 11 in one cycle of the continuous pulses from a first pulse generating means 25 and a second pulse generating means 26 which generate pulses, according to the rotation of pulleys 21 and 22. The clock pulse has a frequency which is larger enough than the pulse frequency from the first pulse generator at the time when a servo motor rotates at the highest speed. The number of counts vs. speed converters 13 and 15 get a rotational speed of each pulley from the number of counts of a pulse width counter. A comparator 16 judges the abnormality of a power transmission belt 24 by comparing the rotational speeds of the pulleys obtained by the number of counts vs. speed converters with each other.
