So that the respective upper work rolls 1, 21 and lower work rolls 11, 31 are not brought into contact with each other in the rolling direction through a speed-reduction gear 10, the driving shaft 28 of the driving motor 29 for the upper roll on the upstream side and driving shaft 38 of the driving motor 39 for the lower roll on the upstream side, and the driving shaft 8 of the driving motor 9 for the lower roll on the downstream side and the driving shaft 18 of the driving motor 19 for the lower roll on the downstream side are respectively connected to the end part on the upstream side of the speed- reduction gear 10 and the end part on the downstream side of the speed- reduction gear 0. These driving motor 9, 29 for the upper rolls and the driving motor 19, 39 for the lower rolls on the upstream side and downstream side are respectively arranged shifting in the axial direction of roll so as to be brought into contact with each other in the vertical direction.
