PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for engaging the heald of a Jacquard type knitting machine, removing conventional defects, achieving a traverse dimension in high accuracy and not changing the cost.
SOLUTION: This device for engaging a cord 6 belonging to harness with the heald 8 of a Jacquard type loom has an end member 20 molded on the upper end of the heald 8, and a small hole 22 for passing the cord 6 in cooperation with a sleeve 24 and for nipping the cord is formed in the end member 20.
