A water-penetrable film 33 is carried along the current-applying surface of the common electrode 11, and the outer peripheral surfaces of the fish paste products W are brought into contact with the common electrode 11 through the water-penetrable film 33. The water-penetrable film 33 is carried to rotate the fish paste products W with the water-penetrable film 33. Cooling liquid passages are formed in the common electrode 11, and a cooling liquid is allowed to flow in the passages. Even when the common electrode 11 is heated with the generated heat of the fish paste products, the rise in the temperature of the common electrode 11 is thereby inhibited, and the fish paste products W are heated with only the Joule heat.
