Title:
DEVICE INCLUDING SOD MICROPHONE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3512982
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SOD microphone which can prevent acoustic resonance while reducing or eliminating the need for a compensating circuit.
SOLUTION: This single diaphragm SOD microphone uses an acoustic filter so as to remove relative resonance for a duct which conducts surrounding sound pressure to the front and back of n FOD microphone element. The microphone element 11 communicates with a front and a rear chamber respectively, two ports communicate with the front chamber by front ducts 8 and 8', and other two ports 2 and 3 communicate with the rear chamber by rear ducts 9 and 9'. The microphone includes a 1st and a 2nd side chamber for dispersing the sound energy of undesirable resonance. The 1st side chamber communicates with the front duct and the 2nd side chamber communicates with the rear duct. The respective side chambers include branch ducts 21 and 21' which are almost a quarter as long as the wavelength of the undesirable resonance.
