PURPOSE: To surely insert weft into a cloth fell position by arranging a weft inserting tool in parallel on a cloth fell line by driving mechanism when a weft inserting member is laid in a warp opening and pushing weft by a pressurizing face of the weft inserting tool.
CONSTITUTION: When a weft inserting tool 22 is arranged in a warp opening by a lever 18 and a cylinder 28, a pressurizing face 23 of the weft inserting tool 22 is laid in parallel to a cloth fell line by a link 20 and a trunion mounting cylinder 25. When the weft inserting tool is placed on a cloth fell position, weft (x) introduced to the cloth fell side of the pressurizing face is pushed to the cloth fell position by the pressurizing face and weft inserting and beating up are carried out.
