Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a device for judging the use state of a film cartridge which is improved in the accuracy of judging.

CONSTITUTION: The film cartridge is loaded into a cartridge chamber of a camera and the cartridge chamber is lighttightly closed. A motor 30 for film feeding is then run backward right thereafter and a timer 32a and a motor counter 37 is operated. The film is judged to be in an unphotographed state if the revolving shaft of the motor 30 hardly revolves even after the lapse of a specified time. The film is similarly judged to be in the unphotographed state if the rotating axis of the motor 30 rotates but the rotating speed of the motor 30 changes and the difference between the max. value and the min. value is larger than a prescribed value. The film housed in the cartridge body is judged to be in the photographed state if the rotating speed of the motor 30 hardly changes and the difference between the max. value and the min. value is smaller than the prescribed value.
