Abstract:

To provide a device for manually applying wax on a sliding surface of ski board or the like.

A plurality of spiral groove each having a substantially triangular cross-sectional shape, which are successive in a direction with an angle to the circumferential direction of an elastic layer 24 are formed in the outer peripheral surface of an elastic roller 20. A wax in a heating pan is heated and melted by a heating means, a slide surface of a ski board or the like is pressed against the elastic layer 24 while it is moved circumferentially, in order to apply liquefied wax onto the slid surface from the outer surface of the elastic layer 24, and simultaneously, the elastic roller 20 is continuously rotated following the motion of the ski due to external resistance of the top part of the spiral groove with respect to the slide surface.
