Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a transmission based on the temperature of hydraulic oil in an automatic transmission.
SOLUTION: An ECU for ECT 100 comprises a circuit for calculating an oil temperature threshold 500 based on signals inputted from either of an engine cooling water temperature sensor 300, an engine intake temperature sensor 400, and an AT hydraulic oil temperature sensor 500 when signals for starting the engine of a vehicle is inputted from an ignition switch 200 to the ECU for ECT 100, a circuit for detecting an oil temperature based on signals inputted from the AT hydraulic oil temperature sensor 500 at predetermined sampling time intervals while the vehicle is running, and a circuit for controlling the automatic transmission so as to prohibit the transmission from a fourth to fifth gear position when the detected oil temperature is lower than the calculated oil temperature threshold.
