Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the storage density of an automatic medium changing device by eliminating a moving end dead space.
SOLUTION: A magazine assembly 102 has a reciprocal motion path 302 including an end part 304. A picker assembly 300 is for selectively realizing a picker access to a medium unit stored in a magazine, and operable cooperatively with the magazine assembly 102. A motion reversal assembly 110 is connected to the picker assembly 300, and provided with a lever 112. The surface 114 of the lever 112 is disposed in the end part 304 of the reciprocal motion path 302. The motion reversal assembly 110 is engaged with the magazine assembly 102 when the magazine assembly 102 enters the end part 304 of the reciprocal motion path 302 and, when this engagement is made, the picker assembly 300 is moved in a direction opposite the moving direction of the magazine assembly 102.
