Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the device and method for the positioning control of an end gage for the backgage of a bend-working machine with the end gage movable without colliding with a metallic die even when performing a series of working using plural metallic dies with different heights.
CONSTITUTION: It is judged by a L axis position judging means 21 according to the position data of an end gage for a backgage if the end gage exists in the safety area of the L axis. When the end gage exists in the safety area of the L axis, the end gage is made to move to a target position by a movement control 7, using a end gage moving means 15. On the other hand, when the end gage does not exist in the safety area of the L axis, the end gage is made to move into the safety area of the L axis once by the movement control part 7, and after that, the end gage is made to move to the target position. Other arise, respective end gage motors (moving means) 115, 123 and 127 are controlled by the movement control part 7 so that they are passed through positions higher than final objective positions without fail by specific height when they are moved to the final objective positions.
