To provide a device and method for recovering fluorocarbon capable of efficiently recovering a large volume of fluorocarbon.

A mixture of fluorocarbon with oil in the recovering device is recovered in a 1st vessel 3. When the liquid quantity of the mixture in the 1st vessel 3 reaches a prescribed one, the liquid in the 1st vessel 3 is sent to a evaporation tube 28 by a pump 21 to be granulated and spread in a 2nd vessel 20. The fluorocarbon is vaporized by heating the 2nd vessel to be recovered. The liquid in the 2nd vessel 20 is circulated by the pump 21 to be passed through the 2nd vessel 20 several times to vaporize the fluorocarbon and is recovered as the oil containing substantially no fluorocarbon. In the 1st vessel, the mixture is recovered, and in the 2nd vessel, the fluorocarbon and the oil are separated from each other and recovered.
