Title:
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING DEIONIZED WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3800706
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain pure water under stable conditions for a long period of time by generating pressure in a specific range between an ion exchanger stored in a demineralization chamber and a action exchange and anion exchange membranes which partition the demineralization chamber.
SOLUTION: Anion exchanger membranes A are spaced apart, one from another, at predetermined intervals, alternately with cation exchange membranes K through demineralization chamber frames D1, D2, D3-Dn and concentration chamber frames C1, C2, C3-Cn to constitute an anode chamber 2, concentration cambers S1, S2-Sn demineralization chambers R1, R2-Rn and a cathode chamber 3. And anion and cation exchangers are filled into the chambers R1, R2-Rn and spacers N1, N2, N3-Nn are inserted into the concentration chambers. A pressure of 0.1-20kg/cm2 is generated respectively between ion exchangers accommodated in the chambers R1, R2-Rn and the membranes A and membranes K partitioning the chambers R1, R2-Rn. Thus area of membranes in use can be reduced and pure water can be obtained stably for a long period of time.
