PURPOSE: To easily and rapidly make an umbrella wetted at a time of rainy weather to a state close to drying by providing a centrifugal separation basket which is provided with a fixing means grasping the tip part of the umbrella on the bottom part in a case.

CONSTITUTION: When an opening and closing cover 19 is opened and an umbrella 11 wetted by rain is inserted into a centrifugal separation basket 10 and the cover 19 is closed, a detection switch 20 detects this state and firstly an electromagnetic clutch 13 is actuated to completely fix the umbrella 11. After the fixation by the clutch 13 has been finished, a motor 3 is electrified and the basket 10 is rotated at high velocity to remove the water droplets stuck on the umbrella 11. After the basket 10 is rotated for a constant time, the motor 3 is automatically stopped by motion of a timer and therefore the cover 9 can be opened.
