Title:
BEVELING/CHAMFERING DEVICE FOR STEEL PIPE END
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003025104
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent burrs from being produced on the end face of a steel pipe and a copy roller itself from being damaged when the copy roller moves.

A first tip 44 is secured to and the first copy roller 50 is also arranged in the first arm section 42a of a turning arm 42, which is arranged turnably in a first tool post 28. The first copy roller 50 abuts on the external peripheral surface of the steel pipe 16 when the first tip 44 perform beveling/ chamfering. On the second arm section 42b of a turning arm 42, a first compression coil spring 60 is arranged to energize the turning arm 42 to turn it in the direction in which the first copy roller 50 abuts on the first arm section 42a, and a first hydraulic cylinder is also arranged in the first tool post 28. By energizing the first hydraulic cylinder so as to make a piston rod abut on the abutting piece, the turning arm 42 is turned in the direction in which the first copy roller 50 separates from the external peripheral surface of the steel pipe 16.
