PURPOSE: To move a link chain by each fixed size without twisting by confirming the link by a positional detecting part, holding it with a holding member, moving the holding member back and forth and moving the link chain.
CONSTITUTION: The link chain R is transferred to a chain clamping device 8, an inlet side guide wheel 3A, a guide frame 6 and an outlet side guide wheel 3B. After confirming whether the link in the vertical posture is stopped at the fixed position of the lowering position G or not by the detecting part 9, the link is held with the clamping device of a feed-moving body 15. The moving body 15 moves by one pitch P of the link chain R to transport the link to the opening position H. The chain R is fixed with the chain clamping part 8 and the clamping device of the moving body 15 is opened to move the moving body 15 to the holding position G. Repeatedly, the chain R is transferred to a chute cylinder 61. The chute cylinder 61 is turned to load the chain R onto a carriage.
