Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form high-quality sliver from selvedge breaks, center break and thickness unevenness by separating tow while drafting through a yarn dividing device and supplying the separated yarn to a perlok machine under a fixed tension.
CONSTITUTION: In sending tow 1 to a perlok machine 10, each tow 1 drawn out from two carton boxes 2 is guided through a great number of creel rollers 3 to feed rollers consisting of a metal roller 23 and a rubber roller 24 of a yarn dividing device 20, fed to a pair of rollers composed of a screw roller 21 and a rubber roller 22 rotating through a power transmission means such as chain or gear at a higher revolving speed than the feed rollers and separated while being drafted. Then the separated tow 1 is supplied through a tension roller 31 attached to a rotary arm 32 rotatable in the vertical direction under a fixed tension to a perlok machine 10.
