Title:
DEVICES UTILIZING AIR PRESSURE FOR DREDGING, SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATION, CLASSIFICATION AND TRANSFER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2729547
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent diffusion of mire into water, to reduce mixing of water and to enhance therewith dredging capability.
CONSTITUTION: A suction header 10 is connected to the front end of a drain/ delivery pipe 20 for dredging. The suction header 10, while ejecting air frontward and excavating therewith the seabed or the riverbed, ejects air toward the deeper inside and generates strong suction force by virtue of ejection force of the air and air-lifting effect produced by the buoyance force. Gravels, mire, water and the like sucked up by the suction header 10 are sent together with the air through the drain/delivery pipe 20 to a solid-liquid separator 30. The separator 30 separates the delivered substance into three categories; fluid including muddy water and air, large-sized solid including relatively large stones and gravels, and small-sized solid including relatively small stones and sands. The above-mentioned substances are then discharged separately. Since the fluid contains a large amount of air, it contains less water and thereby posttreatment of the fluid becomes easy.
