Title:
DIAL LOCK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6471976
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To apply a tensile force from a cable body only to a core bar by matching the codes of a plurality of dial elements respectively, positioning release grooves of dial elements respectively on the motion locus of a linkage claw of the respective core bar and unlocking by giving a relative movement to both of them.

CONSTITUTION: A ring-shaped dial element 5 is provided with dial matching code 21 in the periphery of the core bar 4 where the entrance 13 of the cable body is arranged, and an escape preventing member 6 of a dial element 5 consisting of a coupling member 33 for mutually coupling two end members 31, 32 in one united body is provided. Also, relative position restricting means 46, 47 for closing the entrance 13 or restricting the open position are provided, further a linking claw 17 projected out, which links to the inner peripheral portion of the dial element 5 and blocks its advance or retreat at the outer periphery between the coupling members 11, 12. And a release groove 23 permitting the passage of the linking claw 17 in a direction connecting both the coupling holes 11, 12 together in part of the inner peripheral portion of the dial element 5 is formed, and the tensile force from the cable body 3 and the coupling holes 11, 12 is applied only to the core bar 4 thereby increasing the yield strength against the tensile force.
