To provide a die suitable for achieving non-repair of a lid unnecessary for a can opener using a laminate steel sheet even under a severe score-forming condition, a lid unnecessary for a can opener, and a manufacturing method thereof.
A pair of upper and lower dies for forming scores of a lid unnecessary for can opener having scores on one side of a lid, and are used for forming scores of a lid unnecessary for a can opener by using a laminate metal sheet. The upper die has a projecting part for forming scores, and the sectional shape of the projecting part in contact with the laminate metal sheet is constituted of a curve or a curve and a line in which the rate of change of the inclination with respect to an upper surface of the opposing lower die is ≤ 0.08, and the maximum width of the score to be formed is ≤ 0.80 mm.
