Abstract:
To provide a differential device which enables an influence of abrasion powder to be minimized as much as possible in a torque sensitive type LSD having a sealed structure.SOLUTION: A differential device includes: a differential case 3; a pair of side gears 5, 7; a pinion gear 9; friction clutches 49, 51 for limiting differential rotation of the pair of side gears 5, 7 according to fastening force; pressure rings 55, 57 which apply fastening force to the friction clutches 49, 51; a first sealing part P1 for sealing an exterior and an interior of the differential case 3; and a second sealing part P2 of the side gears 5, 7 against a shaft separately formed. The friction clutches 49, 51 are disposed at an outer periphery side relative to engagement parts of the side gears 5, 7 and the pinion gear 9. A space part 59a which can accumulate lubrication oil is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the differential case 3. The space part 59a is disposed at the outer periphery side of the friction clutches 49, 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
