To provide a portable type digital broadcast receiver which more saves the power consumption.

A picture processor decodes picture data contained in received broadcast data and outputs a picture obtained by the decoding. A sound processor decodes sound data contained in the received broadcast data and outputs sounds obtained by the decoding. A condition memory 14 stores picture conditions and sound conditions. A decider 13 decides whether the picture conditions are met and whether the sound conditions are met. A power feed controller 15 controls the feed power to the picture processor and the sound processor, and stops feeding the power to the picture processor or to the sound processor, if the picture conditions or the sound conditions are decided to be met, respectively.
