Title:
DIGITAL CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3904560
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with which stroboscopic photographing can be implemented by automatically calculating and setting an exposure value which is proper for both a main object and a background in the range that stroboscopic light does not reach.
SOLUTION: A first exposure condition calculating operation calculates and sets a proper exposure condition, in imaging by an imaging device, including an effective exposure time and an ISO sensitivity value without subordinate light emission from a stroboscope part. Besides, a second exposure condition calculating operation sets a relevant exposure condition by correcting at least the ISO sensitivity value in the exposure condition set by the first exposure condition calculating operation on the basis of a level of a photoelectric transduction output from the imaging device resulting from performing exposure in the imaging device with the effective exposure time and the ISO sensitivity value of the first exposure condition with the subordinate light emission from the stroboscope part. The exposure in the imaging device is then carried out as an original photographing operation on the exposure condition set by the second exposure condition calculating operation.
