Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a freely workable inflatable catheter having an excellent pushing pressure by equipping it with an exterior and an interior tubular members of a thin wall, freely inflatable balloon members bonded to these ends and a core device extending from the end of the interior tubular member. CONSTITUTION: This catheter device 10 is equipped with the exterior tubular member 11 and interior tubular member 12 of a thin wall and a core device 13 arranged in the inside lumen of the interior tubular member 12 and their ends have flexible coils 15 and inflatable and non-elastic balloon members 16. The base end of this balloon member 16 is fixed with an adhesive to the end of the exterior tubular member and the end is fixed to the end of the interior tubular member 12. An arm 24 has a torque knob 25 fastened to the end of a core wire 13 and enables to rotate, not only the core wire within the lumen of the interior tubular member 12, but also the end part having a pliable core 15 fastened to the core wire. Thus the catheter device 10 is operated during the time it reaches a patient's coronary blood vessel.
