Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dishwasher detergent composition not irritating to the skin and the mucosa and having improved detergency by using a mixture of Na2CO3 with NaHCO3.
CONSTITUTION: 10-40 wt.% sodium tripolyphosphate is formulated with 20-60 wt.% Na2CO3, 10-20 wt.% NaHCO3, 3-15 wt.% sodium perborate hydrate, 0.4-1 wt.% protease, 0.4-1 wt.% amylase, 0-5 wt.% nonionic surfactant, 3 wt.% antifreeze comprising a 12-18 C fatty acid and/or white mineral oil in such amounts that the ratio of the Na2CO3 to the NaHCO3 is 4-1, and the total of the Na2CO3 and the NaHCO3 is at least 25 wt.% to obtain a dishwasher detergent composition free from metasilicates and chlorine bleaching agents and having a pH of 10.5-9.0 in a 1% aqueous solution.
