PURPOSE: To obtain a disk film projection device which facilitates the loading and unloading of a disk film and is mechanically simple by utilizing the stable mechanical force of a spring, etc., to load and unload the disk cartridge.

CONSTITUTION: When the cartidge 400 is pressd down in the opposite direction of an arrow C while inserted into the recessed space 212 of a holding member 208, an abutting member 282 moves down against the spring 294 to lower an arm 284 and a link 286, and an arm 272 rotates counterclockwise around a shaft 270. A apindle 214 is energized with the spring as shown by an arrow B, so the roller 264 of a manual operation member 256 which is on the lower surface 276 of the top surface 274 of the arm 272 so far moves to the higher surface 278 beyond its hook type part, pressing the arm 272 continuously. This pressing force is larger than the repulsive force of the spring 294, and various constants such as the spring constants of springs 254 and 294 and the shape and position of the higher surface 278 are so set that the roller 264 does not rotate in the opposite direction of the arrow B, thereby holding the cartridge 400 at a position shown in a figure.
