To control a display position on a display device displaying the images of right and left sides of the front end of a vehicle photographed by an on-vehicle camera when a vehicle approaches an intersection.
An intersection discriminating means 15 discriminates the presence/absence of entry to an intersection using the road map information on the periphery of a current position of a vehicle obtained by a navigation device 13 and the vehicle information showing the traveling condition and the operating status of the vehicle collected by a vehicle information collecting means 12, an image control means 11 determines the display position on the display device 16 of the images of right and left sides of the front end of the vehicle photographed by the on-vehicle camera 16 to decrease the movement of a driver's visual line using result of the above discrimination and the distance to an obstacle in the periphery of the vehicle measured by a vehicle periphery sensor 14, and a camera image switching device 17 sets the position for displaying the image on the display position determined by the image control means 11 and displays the image on the display device 18.
