A display device displays images toward view points of observers, and includes: a backlight unit that emits parallel light beams; a lenticular lens that separates the light beams emitted from the backlight unit into a plurality of respective light fluxes corresponding to a plurality of respective view points; a light collection optical system that collects the light beams from the lenticular lens into the view points of the observers; a Fresnel prism that has a plurality of prisms arranged in a horizontal direction, and deflects the light beams from the light collection optical system to be directed to an observation direction; and a display panel that transmits the light beams from the Fresnel prism to display an image.
