Abstract:
To avoid complication of a configuration when displaying a reduced image.SOLUTION: A display 10 includes: a display area; a scan line driving circuit that can drive a plurality of rows of scan lines in arbitrary order; and a data signal output circuit that can arbitrarily supply, to a plurality of rows of data lines, a data signal obtained by converting video data for one row in a whole image corresponding to input video data. In a mode for displaying a reduction image obtained by thinning out the whole image by rows and columns while allocating the reduction image to a partial area of the display area, when a row designated by the video data corresponds to the row allocated to the partial area, the scan line driving circuit drives the scan line of the row, and when the row designated by the video data corresponds to an area other than the partial area, drives the scan line of a row different from the row designated by the video data. The data signal output circuit supplies a data signal corresponding to the scan line of the row driven by the scan line driving circuit to a data line allocated to the partial area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
