Title:
DISTRIBUTOR TYPE FUEL INJECTION PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3856169
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributor type fuel injection pump which suppresses the cost of production without installing a fuel pressure measuring hole anew for a fuel gallery.
SOLUTION: A mounting member 50 is screwed tight in a distribution head 11 after screwing a nut 14 tight in a distribution rotor 13 via a through hole 29. After the assembly of a fuel injection pump 10 is over, a connecting member 51 of a fuel pressure measuring instrument 60 is screwed in this mounting member 50, and the fuel injection pump 10 is operated, whereby fuel pressure in a fuel gallery 15 is measurable by the fuel pressure measuring instrument 60 through a fuel passage 28 and a communication passage 50a. After the fuel pressure measurement of this fuel gallery 15, the mounting member 50 is plugged, blocking up a communicating path 50a. Since the through hole 29 for inserting the nut 14 is utilized, there is no need to install a new through hole for fuel pressure measuring of the fuel gallery 15. Therefore, manhours for processing the through hole and parts to block up it are unnecessary.
