Abstract:
To realize large capacity and space-saving without deteriorating an alignment property of documents loaded on a discharge tray.SOLUTION: A document conveying device comprises: a paper feed tray; a discharge tray 43 provided below the paper feed tray; a guide part 64 for guiding conveyance of a document G on a lower stream side in a conveyance direction Z of the document G than a reading position; a discharge port 69A that is provided at an end on a downstream side in the conveyance direction Z of the guide part 64, for discharging the document G to the discharge tray 43; a first swingable shaft 661 that is provided at an end on an upstream side in the conveyance direction Z of the guide part 64, for supporting the guide part 64 in a swingable manner with a document G width direction crossing the conveyance direction Z as an axial direction; a drive unit for swinging the guide part 64; a sheet material 21 drawn out from a lower portion than that of the discharge port 69A in the guide part 64 with rise of the guide part 64, with one end fixed to the end on the upstream side in the conveyance direction Z of the discharge tray 43, and the other end supported by the guide part 64; and an energization member for energizing the sheet material 21 in a direction of being drawn into the guide part 64.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
